In depth

Verdict

Oscar Ceremony was only fifth on his handicap debut but had been showing promise in decent maiden company previously and remains unexposed. Soldier Of Love has placed in all three starts over timber but has been well beaten on each occasion so needs more. Doctor Thea will have to defy an absence since August and a change of stable but Sammylou and Mr Magill are recent winners, though the latter was due to run at Wincanton yesterday. This looks ripe for an upset and DRAMA KING could provide it. He’s a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Identity Thief and the step up to 3m could see him in a better light. Mauna Kea is a course and distance winner so can’t be ignored.
