    Verdict

MILITIA finished thereabouts in all four starts last year with his best effort coming at York. Richard Fahey’s colt is weighted to beat Catterick runner-up Paco Escostar on today’s terms and gets the nod. Hop Maddocks has the more recent form having attempted to make all over 6f here last week but was caught in the closing stages. He’s preferred to Liamba while Madam Devious and Fairy Falcon, a half-sister to top-class sprinter Tangerine Trees, are newcomers to keep an eye on.
