In depth

Verdict

Madamlily ended a long losing run with victory over 1m6f at Catterick on her recent reappearance but a 9lb rise seems a bit excessive and UBI ACE makes more appeal. He arrives on the back of a win over hurdles last month and is only 2lb higher than when scoring over today's trip at Ripon last June. With just the single win in 13 starts, Elmfield Giant is tried over a longer trip on his return, while Jackday hasn't raced since winning at Musselburgh last May. Maslak and Eton Fable look best of the rest.
