    Verdict

Dispol Isle is a tentative selection in the finale, with Confide (if he turns our quickly), Serieux and Poker Player others to bear in mind; while support for Queen's Composer would also be interesting to note. The last named is lightly raced and seems to have got his act together well at present. However, he has a stiff test under a 6lb penalty and others may have his measure on these terms. Poker Player has a habit of popping up with a big run in races of this nature and can go close for each-way backers. He is well treated on the pick of his form and, after a respectable effort at Yarmouth last time, is rated as a danger. Similar comments apply to Serieux, who has run to comparable level several times this season and should be capable of getting competitve in this company if he handles the conditions. Confide set sail for home early in the home straight at Carlisle yesterday but was just nailed in the closing stages. The drop in trip will help him today and he has to be given a chance to atone. However, Dispol Isle is also fancied to revel under the conditions and, as a seven furlong specialist, this daughter of Trans Island is fancied to extend her run of good form in a race that is likely to be run to suit her style..
