Verdict
In past years this maiden has fallen to something with experience and that has appeared more significant than a high draw so CATHEDRAL SPIRES is the suggestion having shown more than Countrywide Flame with Indieslad amongst the interesting newcomers. Howard Johnson has his team in good form and Cathedral Spires has shown enough in his two starts to date to believe that he can land a race of this nature. He drops down a furlong in trip but showed plenty of speed at Catterick despite causing one or two problems on the way to the start and can open his account. Ice Trooper has also shown a decent level of form and is feared, Saxonette needs to improve on her debut form but hails from a yard that does well here so needs a market check along with Tallahasse whose yard landed a touch with a newcomer last week. Another newcomer to note is Indieslad who makes some appeal on paper but Cathedral Spires may be the way to go.
