In depth

Verdict

Another wide open handicap for punters to fathom with many in form rivals in opposition including Janes Gem Donny Bowling and Miss Ocean Monarch and we will take a chance on the last named. The filly from the David Chapman yard shaped as if her turn was not far away when a staying on fourth behind Blury Fireband a couple of runs ago and with Dale Gibson taking over from an apprentice she will not be far away with conditions in her favour. Janes Gem rates the main danger on her latest fourth behind Golden Fields but she is not sure to be suited by the step back down in trip. Donny Bowling showed improved form when a staying on third behind Wroot Danielle last time and he is sure to be suited by this extra furlong and has definite place claims. Of the remainder Crystal Colleen is from a yard in form and is worth noting in the market but we are happy to stick with Miss Ocean Monarch.
