Verdict
Precautionary, The Thrifty bear and Briery Blaze dominate this contest and Roger Charlton¿s Precautionary is taken to gain reward for some good performances. Briery Blaze showed promise at Hamilton on her debut and then ran well to be fourth at Doncaster last time and although she is respected she has been off the course for two months and may just need the run. The Thrifty Bear belied his big starting price when running a great race on his debut to be fourth here and will have learned from the experience. He too has been off the course for two months, and the ground is unlikely to be as quick as it was then. After chasing home the useful Nantyglo at Windsor on his debut, Precautionary returned to the track for his second and most recent outing and finished a close third. He took a keen hold that day and hopefully with that experience he will settle better here. Precautionary is good enough to take this.
