In depth

Verdict

FATHER'S DAY, a son of Galileo, started a short-priced favourite on his debut at the Curragh but was well beaten after reportedly losing a shoe. He'll be expected to do better and can get off the mark. Pappina couldn't cope with Tejano at Gowran and the third has been well beaten subsequently though she should take care of Tashi, who hasn't improved since runner-up at Fairyhouse in October. Away To Sea has looked a real staying type in his three runs and would probably need testing ground to get involved here. Port Philip was very green at Naas but should find this longer trip more to his liking.
