In depth

Verdict

MODUS OPERANDI should lose his maiden tag after just being mugged by the vastly more experienced Colour Sergeant at Cork and the son of Frankel should go on to better things. Scrum Half showed very good pace for a long way over 7f at Naas last September and this looks a much more suitable trip. Book Of Verse made a very satisfactory debut at Dundalk last month and the half-brother to six winners will have come on a bundle for the experience while Anner Castle, a son of Fastnet Rock out of a mare who produced a 1m4f winner with her first offspring, is a newcomer to note. Sanosuke is by Galileo out of a Group 2 winner in New Zealand and is another to keep an eye on.
