In depth

Verdict

Morph Speed has had all but one of his runs at Dundalk where he won over 1m4f last February. He's changed hands and made a pleasing start for new connections there 10 days ago. Kew Palace is also in new surroundings having transferred from William Haggas and he was going on nicely at the finish over a mile at Gowran earlier this month. No Way Jack, who finished second in that latter event, held every chance though a strike-rate of 2-83 is off-putting so the vote goes to SAMARITAINE (NAP). John McConnell's filly, formerly with Marcus Tregoning, was making her handicap debut when failing to obtain a clear run before staying on over a mile at Leopardstown and can make amends with Siobhan Rutledge again doing the steering.
