Verdict

Scalor has been disappointing since making a pleasing bumper debut at Punchestown in February. GETAWAY GORGEOUS (NAP) returns from an absence dating back to last August but Mullins inmates rarely struggle for lack of fitness following a break. The daughter of Getaway delivered a more than useful first run when second of 14 behind Gypsy Island on her Ballinrobe debut, since when the winner has gone on to land a Listed bumper at Fairyhouse and a Grade 3 equivalent at Punchestown to give the form a healthy sheen. Mystery Stowaway only went down narrowly in a desperate finish on her bumper bow and is far from discounted on that evidence.
