In depth

Verdict

Red Sun is certainly the model of consistency and this likeable sort is given the Teamtalk verdict in the opener. Andy Streeter's charge is more than capable of handling fast ground and he should have been sharpened up for a recent spin on the flat. Lanos rejoins Tom George and as he is part-owned by Terry Warner, he is one to watch in the market. Highly tried in the early part of last season, he is trained by a man who is something of a past master of getting improvement out of ex-Polish flat horses. Kez is a quirky character from the flat and whether this switch to hurdling will cure any temprament problems is open to debate. Kaikovra showed plenty on this surface in his Irish bumper days but his recent efforts have not captured the imagination and his trainer is enduring a quiet spell.
