In depth

Verdict

Race two can go the way of Sahara Prince ahead of Elaala and Carlton Scroop. In fairness, this race doesn't make much appeal as a betting medium however Sahara Prince would have very solid claims based on his Exeter win back in April. However he has since disappointed not only over jumps but on the flat as well so it really is just a tentative nod. Mouseen is one who could go well at a price as he has run some fair races in defeat of late, whilst Elaala won a similar race over course and distance last time and could well follow up. Smart Minister returns to hurdles after an aborted attempt over fences, however a more likely threat could be Princess Aimee who has been in good form of late and has claims of reversing places with Elaala given a very hefty pull in the weights. A poor race, and best forgotten, hopefully after Sahara Prince wins.
