Verdict

The first division of this handicap isn't much to shout about and this is no better. Theflyingportrait would be the obvious selection as he is the only one with recent winning form to his name. Jennie Candlish's chaser has never managed a place in seven previous tries over hurdles however. Hoist The Colours is back in blinkers having been tried with cheekpieces and in a visor. The Newton Abbot third is clearly a tricky customer while Ginjo's third at Newton Abbot was the first time he'd made the frame in 12 attempts. Winning pointer THE MYTHOLOGIST may do better now handicapping and upped in trip, though the lack of a recent run tempers enthusiasm. Martin Chuzzlewit has become very disappointing but looks best of the rest.
