Verdict

An obvious chance for The Sister to take this contest at the expense of Pardini and Monbonami. Jonjo O'Neill's representative has largely been campaigned in mares races but she relishes soft ground and can win this for the much-improved Tom Siddall. Pardini won here over course-and-distance in a similarly weak affair a couple of days ago. Monbonami pulled up on that occasion. Closer inspection of the race though suggests that had Blackberry Way not come to grief, Pardini would have been unlikely to have been taking home the winners' prize money. The Parish Oak is watched in the market following a recent reappearance after a season on the sidelines. The Sister shines out in a modest contest and we will seek not to oppose.
