Verdict
Alfa Sunrise has shown enough to suggest that he can have the measure of Old Feathers and Count Tony. Having recovered from a broken pelvis last term, Alfa Sunrise landed a few nice bets on racecourse reappearance. Trainer Bob Buckler believed that this could win a couple on the soft this year and with that information, we have little reason to disagree. Old Feathers has a modicum of ability but is unproven on the surface. Count Tony does handle the surface but looks to have plenty on his plate from a handicap perspective. Columbus seems to be continuing his amble between stable to stable while Kieran should be watched in the market should there be any crumbs to be gathered from the betting. An opportunity for Alfa Sunrise to shine in a modest contest given the prize money.
