In depth
Verdict
Yccs Portocervo will be popular, having notched both chasing successes over course and distance. He was never troubled last time and is only up 3lb, but this does look a better race. Neville's Cross has struggled to take to fences but at least negotiated a clear round last time. The handicapper seems determined not to offer any respite but he's a useful sort who could prove a different proposition if getting his act together over fences. Princeton Royale's win came out of the blue and he needs to back it up here, but SIANNES STAR and Brian Hughes have proved a potent combination the last twice and can complete the hat-trick for the Pogsons.
