    Verdict

PELTWELL had every chance at Southwell yesterday and would carry 7lb extra if successful. Either way, Neil Mulholland’s mare may still prove good enough if taking part with a conditional’s allowance helping her cause and she gets the vote. Choochoobugaloo had gone close over hurdles here before struggling over further in a chase at Musselburgh and looks the main threat while Vereina is preferred to Tara Well on the prevailing testing ground. The remainder have shown little to recommend them of late.
