In depth

Verdict

Kalawoun can open his account over Runaway Bishop, with Secluded and Weet Watchers two more to merit a mention. Kalawoun has improved with each run since coming over from France, and on the back of a decent third to Renada at Newcastle three weeks ago, Ferdy Murphy's charge is taken to open his account in this 'hands and heels' contest. Patrick McDonald has impressed with his sympathetic riding this term, and he is the right man for the job. Runaway Bishop is much better known as a chaser, and has been in good form in the main in that sphere, but may need stronger handling than he will get here, while Secluded needs to show more than he has done since returning from a spell in Ireland. Weet Watchers is basically plating class, and in all reality will struggle against some improving sorts here, the best of whom should be Kalawoun.
