Verdict
To The Future is the suggestion in what is a hard one to call, with a whole host of dangers including Sir Cumference, Full On, Good Potential, Anflora and Cool Song. The fact that so many names are put forward reveals just what a head-scratcher this is, but To The Future has shaped well on both outings this season, and is taken to come good now. Andrew Parker's nine-year-old struggled when rising into the 90's two years ago, but has dropped back down to what hopefully is a winning mark now. In need of his return at Carlisle in October, he was then well held in second behind Bang And Blame at Sedgefield last month, but will be fitter now, and today's trip represents a drop in distance. Without being confident, he should at least go well and is a speculative choice. Sir Cumference hails from an in-form stable and should give another honest account, but the feeling is that he is a bit high in the weights at present. Full On has had a tendency to find one too good in the past, while Good Potential has his first outing over fences in three years. Anflora races from three-pound out of the handicap and needs to brush up her jumping but will like the ground, and Cool Song is even further out of the weights but that did not stop him at Warwick last time. That was only the narrowest of victories, but he is very well treated these days and is yet another to consider. For the winner we nominate To The Future.
