Verdict
In what does not look a strong race, we will shortlist Linnet, Novelina, Opalite, Rice Mother and Sunblush, and side with Rice Mother. The Mark Johnston-trained selection put in a pleasing enough debut performance at Epsom last time despite running green and, with that experience behind her, she can go well today. Linnet should also improve from her debut run, and the form of that race is beginning to work out, while Novelina has shown promise in two all-weather runs and Opalite is worth the once over as she is from a good stable, although she was fairly cheaply acquired. Finally, the Mick Channon-trained Sunblush is surely better than she showed on her debut and might go well but, for the winner, we will side with Rice Mother.
