        Verdict

        A poor contest in which a chance is taken with Molly's Secret, who is preferred to Ambersong and Heathyards Pride. Kieren Fallon looks an eye-catching jockey booking for the last mentioned runner, who is less exposed than most of his rivals after just five career starts. Top weight Icannshift returns to the level having shown little aptitude over hurdles recently and has to be respected despite the burden of 9st 2lb. Frankie Dettori, who rode a winner for the stable on Saturday, has been booked by Tony Carroll for Compton Aviator. He should appreciate the drop in class although stablemate Ambersong holds more solid claims on form. The winner of a non-handicap seller at Windsor in July, the son of Hernando was not disgraced in similar company at Lingfield last time. The vote though goes to Molly's Secret. The Clive Cox-trained mare has not won for some time but has been running well without much luck of late and a reproduction of her best recent form should suffice in a poor contest.
