      Verdict

Ben, Leading Edge and Diademas are the three to consider here, although in a field largely comprising of newcomers this is best kept to small stakes and watching market moves. Diademas is taken to make a winning debut. Ben was a very inexpensive purchase, but has run well in his three starts to date. This son of Bertolini has experience on his side but may find some too quick. Mick Channon's representative Leading Edge was slowly away on his debut, but shaped very encouragingly in the closing stages to be a never nearer sixth. He should be sharper this time, and re-appears over the same course and distance. Diademas hails from the Jamie Osborne yard, and this American bred comes from a very speedy family, the dam a half-sister to a multiple winning top class type. If any of that ability has been passed on, Diademas can continue a fine two year old campaign for his trainer.
