Verdict
This has proved to be a good race for favourite backers in recent years, but this time around it looks more open and we take Casino Night as a tentative selection to see off Anabaa's Secret, Benhavis and Smith Esquire. The selection is progressing nicely and went well over this trip at Wolverhampton last time out when beatne just a length into third place. Mark Johnston can keep her going the right way and she looks good enough to land this. Anabaa's Secret makes his racecourse debut and his dam was placed over this trip as a juvenile. Jamie Osborne's recent runners have been in good form without winning and perhaps this colt will have to wait a little longer to open his account. Benhavis pulled away his chance on debut and now steps up a furlong further. There is plenty in his pedigree to suggest he will be effective if he can settle better. Smith Esquire looks best of the rest and won't mind cut in the ground so watch the market there but we prefer Casino Night.
