Verdict
Bazguy went down fighting last time out but may have to settle for minor honours once again as we select Hansinger ahead of Kintyre Lass. The selection actually finished behind Bazguy last time out at Windsor and off level weights again, at first glance there would appear no reason for him to reverse those placings. However Hansinger was unlucky in running on that occasion and would have finished much closer to the winner had he been granted a clear passage. Also on breeding he appears more likely to handle the soft ground that we have this evening (by Namid out of a First Trump mare) so he gets the vote. Mr Lu is entitled to improve for his debut effort, whilst the same applies to Jastaanhi. Kintyre Lass certainly improved from her first to second runs and shaped with plenty of encouragement last time out. She must be feared, whilst at a price newcomer Farsighted could run well. A tricky opener, and the tentative vote goes to Hansinger.
