Verdict
Wind Chime has more to do off a 4lb higher mark than when scoring at Bath last time and preference is for Meelup, who gets the vote over the consistent Libre. The last mentioned does not know how to run a bad race but is paying for it at the hands of the handicapper and in a smaller field may struggle to get the strong pace that he needs. The six-year-old Lifted Way is capable of taking a hand if able to reproduce his best form but there is no guarantee that he will do that and of more interest may be Danifah; the David Evans-trained was a winner over six furlongs two starts ago but should be better served still by today's trip. Blue Tomato cannot be discounted coming, as he does, from the yard of Milton Bradley but the vote goes to Meelup. Jane Southcombe's gelding has a nice racing weight, the benefit of an inside draw and the assistance of the tactically astute Philip Robinson.
