Verdict
Pace Shot is taken to give his sire Montjeu another winner with Villarrica and Western House rated the main dangers in a poor contest. The selection has shown promise in both starts this term, latterly when chasing home Emerald Bay at Haydock and, with the longer trip expected to bring about further improvement, the Michael Jarvis-trained gelding should be tough to beat. Sir Michael Stoute's Villarrica, who showed ability in both starts as a juvenile but has yet to race this term, rates the most obvious danger and has claims if fit enough for his return. Mark Johnston's Western House is entitled to strip fitter for his debut run behind the selection at Haydock but needs to improve considerably. Come To Daddy is probably the best of the remainder, who look a particularly poor bunch, and the vote goes to Pace Shot.
