A number of these come into the race from bumper company; which is fitting considering that the race is to be run in honour of one National Hunt's true superstars from recent times. However, Dubia Sevenstars - the most experience chores in the field - has a solid chance of gaining a belated first career win on the Flat today. The Martin Pipe-trained gelding, who finished third in last season's Cesarewitch, has more ability than he sometimes commits himself to on the racecourse but a repeat of that Newmarket performance will make him very hard to beat today. The strength of support for Assoon will be the best indication of the confidence behind Garry Moore's runner today - while similar sentiments apply to La Luna and Still Speedy, who represent the Noel Chance camp. The Lambourn-based handler had intended to run Looks Like Trouble in this race but the 2000 Tote Gold Cup winner misses his tribute-race because of stiffness after his run at Royal Ascot. Support for either of the Chance horses will also be significant but the percentage call is to stick with Dubai Sevenstars today.
