Verdict
A competitive contest with plenty of the 12 runners having claims including Docklands Maximus, Wind Chime and Woodland Spirit but the vote goes to Zafarshah, who has trip and going to suit. The selection holds Woodland Spirit on running at Sandown last month and, although twice beaten since, excuses can be made for those efforts. Back on a faster surface, over his favourite trip of a mile and, with Fran Ferris taking off a valuable 3lbs, he has solid claims. Docklands Maximus showed improved form at Doncaster earlier this month but that was over seven furlongs and he may not be suited by the step up to today's trip, while Wind Chime drops down in distance having won over 1m1f at Kempton last time. Adobe has claims with Mark Brisbourne's stable in better form now but we prefer to side with Zafarshah.
