In depth

Verdict

Petrou was easy to back on his debut at Market Rasen but kept on well in the home straight and was only beaten four lengths. He should strip fitter here but is likely to find FOR INSTANCE a tough nut to crack. Jonjo O'Neill's five-year-old won a point-to-point at Ballinaboola in November and Noel Fehily has stayed back to take the reins. Political Quiz is a half-brother to a winning jumper and may be best of the newcomers ahead of Bestwork.
