Verdict
A big field for this opener and lots of exposed runners, so we will take He's A Leader to follow up his recent success, with Caroubier and Who Cares Wins the probable dangers. He's A Leader looks to have room for a fair bit more improvement than his official mark of 80, and did the job nicely to win by five lengths from Smith's Tribe at Hereford over a similar trip and on soft ground last time. His yard are flying, he will relish condition again and he looks capable of taking this ordinary contest. Caroubier has proved he can handle some cut in the ground, though whether this will be too soft for him in unknown. He has some solid enough form in defeat over hurdles, but has not won for a year, and he may have to settle for the frame again. Who Cares Wins is another who does not find winning easy, but he does handle cut and stays well and a reproduction of some of his form from the spring would surely see him placed. Knightsbridge King also merits respect, but most of the others are exposed and we take He's A Leader to score.
