In depth
Verdict
The market should as always give us valuable clues to this bumper, but on the face of it High Altitude showed enough on debut to suggest he can win it, with newcomers Oasis Blue and Catiline others who can go well. High Altitude stayed on well for second on his first public appearance at Newbury earlier in the month, and this entry suggests he has come out of that race well. Alan King is in form and has a decent record here and we take that run to have him spot on for this. Oasis Blue will be popular with Martin Pipe in such good form and a win for the debutante would be no major shock. He will be fit and with some Roselier in his bloodlines then he should handle cut well enough, so he is respected. Of the others Catiline makes the trip from Ireland and will be given plenty of encouragement to perform well from Mick Fitzgerald, so he to is respected, but we liked the look of High Altitude at Newbury and he fits the bill for us here.
