Gregarious caught Commodore in the final strides at Towcester last month, though it was heavy ground on that occasion and both have been beaten since. Schnabel won a novices’ handicap at Ludlow in December and was placed on his latest start while La Fille Francaise finished closer at Huntingdon on her handicap debut back in January.
