A good warm up for something like the Topham Chase or even the National itself and the shortlisted horses include: Hescondido, Cameron Bridge and Reizeger. However, the main two to concentrate on for future reference appear to be Amberleigh House and Spring Grove, with the latter just preferred as this appears to be his ideal trip. The son of Mandalus, a winner over course and distance here last December, has held his own in very good company of late and arrives here fit and ready to do himself justice after chasing home Whereareyounow in a warm handicap at Cheltenham last month. A repeat of that effort should suffice to see him home today and he is our main hope for glory here. However, it could also pay to have a small each-way interest with Amberleigh House, who will be using this as a stepping-stone for Aintree in April. Ginger McCain has made no secret of his Grand national aspirations for his charge and his ante post price will no doubt take some adjusting if he fares well today.
