This looks to be at the mercy of Control Man, whose profile is more convincing than Torche and Cinnamon Line, who appeal as the best of the rest. Martin Pipe is relentless in his quest for winners and seeks out opportunities for his string no matter what the time of year. This looks to be no exception and his Control Man faces a relatively easy task as he steps up to this trip for the first time today. Torche has at least proved that he has the stamina for this trip and should make a fist of things, but like Cinnamon Line and Highway Robbery, he is vulnerable to an improving type. Control Man fits that exact criteria and sets the standard as the one to beat today.
