In depth

Verdict

Alvaniy was a very short-priced favourite at Newton Abbot in September but he jumped poorly and was well beaten. This is a much more competitive affair and the handicapper has done him no favours with an opening mark of 126. Haafapiece and Albert's Back are both course specialists but are in the veteran stage now. Rafferty's Return has also been successful over track and trip but Foster'sisland has yet to win here though has placed several times and ended the last campaign with a clear-cut victory at Bangor. Windtothelightning did well last term but DECORATED improved out of all recognition upped in trip in the second half of last season so gets the nod as this looks on the short side for Tiger Jet.
