    Verdict

Some familiar names and faces are set to pit their wits against each other and it may be worth chancing Deep Water, who goes well here and can reverse recent form with The Nomad on these terms. Noshinannikin is another that likes it around here and support for Sue Smith's charge looks virtually assured if his record at the track is taken into account. However, like Spectrometer, he arrives here on the back of a fall and he needs to prove that his confidence is still intact. The Nomad is very closely matched with the selection and will not go down without a fight. However, the likelihood of a better price prevailing about Deep Water in a race that holds no fears for him makes Micky Hammond's charge the sporting option in a tight little race.
