Verdict
Dorans Magic can make the most of the weight that he receives from The Butterwick Kid, with Mighty Willing seen as a potential danger. Dorans Magic ran well when second to Westerton at Kelso and was the only one giving Hermes III a race when falling at the final fence at Perth next time. He would not have won but can make amends this time with the ground in his favour. The Butterwick Kid has to shoulder a penalty, and that will be hard to do in the prevailing conditions, so a bigger danger may be Mighty Willing who has been in good form between the flags. Buddy Girie was a fair second last time out but the form is moderate so Dorans Magic, with Nial Saville taking off seven pounds, looks the answer.
