Verdict
Real Shady looks the answer to our third contest of the day. A recent winner at Hexham, he has just a 7lb rise at the weights to account for on this occasion. Tom Greenall is proving very much one of the best amateur pilots in Britain at the moment and his decent strike rate for Mick Easterby inspires plenty of confidence. Blushing Prince looks a live danger. He beat Scippit here on firm ground at the last meeting and was value for more than the winning margin suggests. Scippit reopposes and his forcing tactics will be leaving his backers praying that he sees out the trip. Fly Kicker is another to have winning course form. He is off a career high mark here and the ground is significantly slower on this occasion. The market is watched with regard to Millkom Elegance. The much-improved Andrew Tinkler gave him a peach of a ride in selling grade at Sedgefield and there is every reason to suggest that he is better than that. Shaffishayes looks to be the best of Mary Reveley's string and is bidding for a three-timer over hurdles. Having considered the alternatives, Real Shady is given a confident vote in the Novices' Hurdle.
