Verdict

Tregaro didn't appeal as the sort to be searching for a hat-trick a few months ago but here he is and with very acceptable claims of completing the three-timer. However, he's up 16lb for his two latest successes and preference is for TWICE LUCKY for the Sue Smith team. He really has got his act together in recent starts over fences and makes plenty of appeal here off a mark of 89 following a comfortable success at Kelso a week ago. He looks the sort to progress again. Billy Cuckoo is also worth a place on the shortlist after running a solid race behind Shoal Bay Dreamer at Hexham recently when a respectable 5l second. He should be on the premises again, especially if the application of first-time blinkers produces additional improvement.
