Verdict
STARPLEX only failed by a head to complete the hat-trick at Kelso racing off his new mark. He’ll be going up a further 4lb from next week and this opposition doesn’t throw up many viable alternatives. Adelphi Prince is fitted with cheekpieces after a comeback third at Sedgefield and Tommy Dowson prefers him to Master Newton. Excalibur won at Sedgefield in November and makes more appeal than stablemate Ex S'elance. Pola Chance may be best of the rest.
