In depth

Verdict

Jobsonfire left previous form behind when winning a conditionals’ race off this mark at Doncaster nine days ago. It makes sense to run him again quickly before he’s raised in the weights but more proof is needed that he’s turned the corner. MCCRACKENS GATE should make a race of it, despite a record of 0-15 under Rules. He ran his best race so far over hurdles when second at Fakenham, though could have done without a 3lb rise. Sergeant Brody led for a long way when third at Lingfield 10 days ago and Cosheston, Incertaine and Kendelu could also figure.
