In depth

Verdict

FLY SMART, a winning bumper in France back in 2018, was returning from a very long absence when a beaten favourite over this trip at Leopardstown last month. He didn't get the best of runs that day and compensation awaits. Winning bumper Fortune Street has had eight starts over hurdles without winning but has been placed four times including over this trip. Captain Mc is a stout stayer who could probably do with some rain as could Lucky Tenner, a winning bumper on heavy ground. Smokey The Bandit was beaten a long way when runner-up at Limerick but that was over 3m on testing ground and he only weakened from two out.
