        Verdict

        Mark Tompkins looks to have found an easy opportunity for Mikao to finally lose his maiden tag, Coming Again and Petrosa could be the two to chase him home. This son of Tagula has disappointed over longer trips on the all-weather at Lingfield and on the turf at Haydock, but over this distance at Newmarket in July put up a superb performance to finish a close up third behind Long Road. If he can recapture that form he will be difficult to beat here. Coming Again was easily outclassed in the Epsom derby but had previously chased home Motive over course and distance, form that puts him right in the shake up here. Meanwhile Petrosa bounced back to form in a handicap here last time and can also take a hand in the finish. Treetops may prove best of the remainder, but for the winner we will stick with Mikao.
