Verdict
An extremely competitive and difficult-to-fathom finale, but a high draw is usually and advantage, and with that in mind we put Oeuf A La Neige, Extremely Rare, Missus Links and Go Go Girl on the shortlist, with Oeuf A La Neige just preferred. Missus Links is one of two Richard Hannon-trained runners in the field and has slipped to a fair mark now. She should have the speed to take advantage of a good draw in stall 15. Extremely Rare was a winner for Tim Easterby earlier in the year, has since changed stables and also looks well-handicapped on its best form. Go Go Girl comes here in better form, having won on her reappearance in a big field at Bath and she has to have a decent chance coming from stall 13, with Steve Drowne booked to ride. Pure Imagination and Roman Quintet would certainly come into the reckoning if able to overcome what looks to be a poor draw, but from stall 20 the vote goes to Oeuf A La Neige. Greg Chung's gelding sprang a surprise when beating Roman Quintet by a neck at Bath last time, will be suited by this slightly longer trip and is still on a handy mark.
