Goldcrest finished behind Majestic Hero at Sandown in August but is 8lb better off here. Recent winners Field Game, Equally Fast and Tecumseh are all stepped up in grade but Wolverhampton scorer Rio Ronaldo doesn't look badly treated on his handicap debut and this is a lot easier than the race in which Effusive has competed since making a winning start at Carlisle. Ivors Rebel, back to winning ways at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago, makes plenty of appeal but LA CUESTA may have his measure. She's an improving filly won, having won easily on the Tapeta on her penultimate start, would have gone close at Haydock last time had she enjoyed the run of the race.
