In depth

Verdict

David Evans hasn't been in the best of form but runs two here. Last Page was beaten narrowly on his debut then by the heavily supported Chagatai in a conditions event at Bath. He'll take some beating here and should prove better at this stage than stable companion Bond Angel. Choice Encounter was staying on at the finish on his debut and attempted to make all at Yarmouth where he battled on when headed. He should go well again and has the beating of Indian Warrior on that latter run. LAST VOYAGE is by the USA-based stallion Eskendereya, who has made a real mark in his first couple of years. The Godolphin colt's price-tag went from $52,000 as a foal to six times that as a two-year-old and he's taken to recoup a small fraction of the outlay on his debut.
