In depth

Verdict

Blushing Red has gradually improved and got on top close home over this sort of trip in a maiden at Newcastle though it wasn't much of a race. Road To Dubai looked in need of further despite scoring over 1m2f at Goodwood, when Chaparrachik finished third and looks held, and a 5lb rise shouldn't be enough to prevent another big run from the winner. Chamasay has won twice on Fibresand at Southwell though is yet to reach a place in four starts on Turf but Beverley maiden winner JE SUIS CHARLIE (NAP) will have come on for his reappearance in a much better handicap at Newmarket. The latter has a middle-distance pedigree and looks the type to rise in the ratings this campaign so gets the vote.
