Verdict

The Michael Jarvis-trained Fruhlingssturm disappointed behind Kalaman and Gateman at Ayr last time and while today's conditions will suit him better preference is for Nysaean. The selection, a Group 3 winner in Ireland earlier this season, has not been seen since finishing a creditable fourth behind Bandari in the Brigadier Gerard nearly three months ago. The son of Sadler's Wells has conditions to suit and can make the most of the weight that he receives from Fruhlingssturm. The ex-German trained colt is expected to reverse Ayr form with Gateman, who is less likely to appreciate this trip under the ground conditions. Godolphin's Ancient World disappointed behind Norse Dancer at Salisbury recently but may do better over today's longer trip, while Kaieteur has been highly tried this term and takes a drop in class. Duck Row has yet to prove his effectiveness over today's trip and a bigger threat may come from recent Newmarket winner Pawn Broker. Nysaean holds solid claims though and he gets the vote.
