Verdict
Wise Owl gets the nomination here with Echelon and Musahim rated as the main dangers in a tricky race to open the card. The selection hails from a leading yard and made a promising debut when second behind Blues and Royals on his racecourse debut at York. He is sure to come on for that run and with conditions to suit he sets a decent benchmark for the rest. Echelon is a well-bred filly from the Sir Michael Stoute yard and she is entitled to plenty of respect on her debut. The booking of the useful claimer Nicky Mackay is another plus and if the market speaks in her favour then she could run a big race. Musahim is another well-bred sort and this colt from the Barry Hills yard should be capable of picking up races, although he may be best watched on his debut as his stable have had a largely disappointing season. Perez was well beaten on his debut at Windsor, although he may come on for that run, but we will stick with Wise Owl who looks the wise choice.
